UCSF Medical Center employees should submit a Medical Center Account Request form at https://arf.ucsfmedicalcenter.org (requires login). Student email accounts are set up by the Registrar’s Office. Office 365 | UCSF IT
Everyone with a @ucsf.edu email address has access. However, a separate license is needed for mobile apps. A mobile Intune license can be requested from the UCSF IT website, https://it.ucsf.edu > Submit a Ticket > Request Specific Services > Accounts, Access & Email > Office365 Intune License Request.

Please note: Email messages sent within our system (to other @ucsf.edu email addresses) are delivered directly to the recipient mailbox and DO NOT pass through the UCSF secure email service. Only email messages addressed to external recipients are routed to the UCSF secure email service.
CGL E-mail Client Guide
We expect that the most common method of accessing of cgl.ucsf.edu e-mail will be via a remote computer running an e-mail client, e.g. Thunderbird or Apple Mail. Many other e-mail clients should work too. There are two different protocols for reading e-mail that all remote e-mail clients implement, IMAP and POP.
